Online dating site polls users to determine sexiest Olympian and sexiest Olympic Sport
TORONTO, CANADA, February 18, 2010 /Dating - Singles PR News/ -- In polite conversation or around the water cooler, people will claim they watch the Olympics for the white-knuckle intensity of the games or the peerless athleticism of the competitors. It's all about national pride, they'll say.
But truth be told, many will be watching the Olympics simply to check out the smoking hot bodies of the athletes.
In a recent poll run by online dating website Lavalife, single men and women confirmed which Olympian would take home the gold and silver medals for Sexiest Olympian. They also voted on the sexiest Olympic sport, coming down firmly between figure skating, alpine skiing, hockey and snowboarding.
Out of 1,000 single voters, 75% of men and 40% of women awarded the gold to figure skating as the sexiest Olympic sport. When asked who's the sexiest Olympic athlete, nearly 50% of single men gave Canadian Olympic Skeleton Medalist Melissa Hollingsworth the gold with 40% of votes going to Alpine Ski Racer Lindsey Vonn. For single women, NHL hockey great Sidney Crosby took home the gold as the sexiest Olympian, winning the hearts of 55% with Alpine Ski Racer Bode Miller taking home the silver.
